Steele Mansion Inn & Gathering Hub

Stayed for a night and it was great. Very friendly staff, beautiful home with great rooms! Breakfast was good! Would recommend staying!

Hubby and I stayed here last week and absolutely loved our stay. The mansion is gorgeous. Staff is super friendly. Rooms are so clean and decorated beautifully. We stayed in the Peacock room. Felt very comfortable to explore the house and take lots of pictures. Breakfast was delicious. My favorite part was meeting my new BFF Boo ⬛.We have already talked about a return trip with our daughters.

Stayed here this past weekend. We were in the Peacock room. The room and building were amazing. The breakfast each morning was great. The cat outside was a very nice bonus for us, being cat lovers. The only downside to the Peacock room was the wifi was not able to connect there. That, however, was not a major concern for us but might be for others needing wifi. We plan on definitely being back sometime.

We had the opportunity to spend a night here over the weekend to attend a wedding nearby. What a treat! The mansion has only 16 rooms and each is unique, lovingly designed with antique furniture and pictures. The downstairs was perfectly suited for relaxing with friends and the mansion offered a delicious, varied hot breakfast downstairs. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and courteous and the mansion was located very convenient to downtown Painesville as well as the Newport Harbor, a charming community and beach. This is the perfect place for a weekend escape or midweek adventure, less than an hour from Cleveland and close to Erie, PA.

We stayed here as we were visiting Geneva on the Lake, but honestly, this place alone would be worth the four-hour drive. The mansion appeared to be full of history. Every room had an elegant Victorian estate, something that people would picture being on the Titanic. There was so much space with high ceilings, along with so many ornate details. There was a bar area, recreation room, a sitting room, a large dining room, a large foyer with a staircase, a balcony, large porches, a picture-lined hallway, elevators, I could go on and on. The bedroom looked like it belonged to a palace. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. The breakfast buffet was the icing on the cake. The place was very quiet as well. We were looking for some place different, that didn't break the bank, but we never anticipated this level of class. We enjoyed every second of it and we will return.

We attended a Christmas Cabernet show. Excellent local entertainment group did a fabulous show. Very good bar with great bartenders. Clean, well appointed room decorated in a dog companion theme. Excellent breakfast, self serve with a well rounded selection to suit any need. We will definitely be back for more!

My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary getaway. This place is amazing! The whole place is decorated in antique finishings. It's like stepping back in time. The ladies at the front desk were great to talk with and gave very helpful suggestions for restaurants and sights. Our room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a wonderful place to relax and unwind. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
